A magazine journalist moved into Yeoville Bellevue last year, renting a flat in the residential area. Near his place of residence is a bar that has been around for some time. It was very convenient, so when he wanted a drink, he would go there.
One day, while walking in the street, he was approached by a young woman who had emerged from the bar.
“Why don’t you give us your business?” she asked.
“I do,” he said. “That’s where I always drink.”
“That’s not what I’m talking about,” she responded.
“So what are you talking about?” he asked.
“Come on. You don’t need to ask me that. You know …..”
He now walks five blocks to get his drink, preferring to do this rather than be expected to take advantage of the additional services offered by the ‘gentlemen’s club’ in his street.
